Job Summary:

The Finance Analyst and HFM System Administrator will provide technical leadership to the Hyperion and SAP RTR team for support and development work that aligns to Information Technology Application strategies across the Financial Planning, Analysis and Consolidations area.
They will play a dual role in the IT ERP Applications department, focusing on financial analysis and administration of the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system. This position is ideal for candidates with 8-10 years of experience in finance work processes or administering finance/HFM systems. The successful candidate will support financial reporting, system maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:

  • Direct the global drive for financial system projects to completion, working with applicable process owners.
  • Meet with business owners to further define business processes and flows and provide solutions
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven insights.

HFM System Administration:

  • Lead and oversee the planning, development, implementation and support of IT tactical initiatives utilizing the Hyperion application suite.
  • Administer and maintain the HFM system, including user access management, system configuration, and security settings.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Support the users day-to-day: incident resolution, support to users, escalation
  • Support the closing activities as defined with finance.
  • Develop and test IT changes (based on change management procedure).
  • Develop and maintain HFM reports and data forms to meet business needs.
  • Develop and implement the global training process for Hyperion systems

Project Support:

  • Participate in finance and IT projects, providing support for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Assist in the design and testing of HFM system changes and enhancements.
  • Document system processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge continuity.
  • Delivery of new projects based on IT specification prepared with the business analyst.
  • Manage budget and costs tracking for all Hyperion, SAP FI & Oracle IT activities.
  • Understand and prepare release changes, analyze and propose improvements to the business
  • Manage the external suppliers: Hyperion, SAP, Blackline and other AMS partners.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest HFM functionalities and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding and use of the HFM system.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or related field. CPA preferred.
  • 5-6 years of experience in finance work processes or administering finance/HFM systems.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with HFM system administration and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel may be required.
  • Work Environment: This position typically works in a hybrid model.
