DCN Dx is seeking a Life Sciences Account Manager to support the growth strategy for custom contract development, manufacturing, and clinical research services for in vitro diagnostics (IVD). The Life Sciences Account Manager is responsible for full cycle sales of custom services including prospecting, cold calling, and closing new service agreements within both existing accounts as well as seeking and identifying new customer opportunities. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry knowledge, can cross-functionally collaborate among varied disciplines and market segments and apply personalized, proactive outreach and value creation.

Who You Are:

Life Science Account Managers are responsible for achieving sales goals through a highly consultative sales process. They identify customer needs and develop solutions to grow DCN Dx’s share within the account/market by listening to learn. They can maintain a pipeline of short and long-term project opportunities and can collaborate and coordinate effectively with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is results-oriented and has strong selling skills including experience in utilizing a CRM and other sales tools to accelerate and track the sales process. An agile, highly collaborative, creative, and tenacious mindset is preferred for DCN Dx’s fast growing environment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieves assigned sales goals through closing new accounts and growing new opportunities with existing customers.
  • Effective execution of the defined sales strategy including managing the end-to-end sales process including qualifying inbound and outbound leads and use of a technology stack.
  • Efficiently manages through account planning and engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Maintains a level of technical and application competence and utilizes this knowledge in a manner which will enable them to add value and promote customer improvement.
  • Submission of accurate quarterly forecasts and forecast updates as requested on a timely basis.
  • Maintain effective and professional communication with customers both external and internal.
  • Manage effective pricing strategies to include, but not limited to: Proposals, Supply agreements, and Contracts.
  • Remote, hybrid, or office-based position, but able to travel occasionally to customer sites, for tradeshows, and meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business.
  • Demonstrated experience in meeting/exceeding sales targets with a minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in Diagnostics or Life Sciences.
  • Demonstrated ability with various sales tools and technology, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office software, CRM such as HubSpot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other social platforms.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization inspiring teamwork to achieve results.
  • Sales competency which includes selling skills such as relationship building, call planning, follow-up and closing skills.
  • Past experience with in vitro diagnostics, immunoassay, point-of-use diagnostics or CRO services.
  • Demonstration of good presentation skills.
  • Good time management skills.
