Job Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for creating new business sales, marketing, and development opportunities. This role requires a strong desire to grow business through outside sales appointments and establish positive customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a broad-based knowledge of oil and gas product lines and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong desire to grow business through outside sales appointments.
  • Establish and promote a positive, friendly, and helpful customer relationship.
  • Produce product quotations and provide follow-up throughout the sale cycle.
  • Gather and report information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and current and future market trends.
  • Consistently identify new sources of business.
  • Achieve sales quotas and goals and meet deadlines.
  • Establish customer profit margins.
  • Cover assigned accounts to promote products and services.
  • Provide all necessary reports to management and other departments.

Requirements:

  • College degree, technical degree, or experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of business-to-business sales experience in a similar industry required.
  • Broad-based knowledge of oil and gas product lines.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with good presentation skills.
  • Computer skills with MS Windows, Office, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and a keen attention to details and accuracy.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to work under minimal or no supervision.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good MVR; able to travel to various locations within the territory.
