Job Summary and Purpose

Training Manager is responsible for development, implementation, administering and continuous improvement of the training program at Tennyson Center for Children, (TCC). This role ensures that the training program is fully implemented at all levels of the organization while promoting a culture of quality, equity and operational excellence and ensuring the advancement of Tennyson's mission and values.

The training manager will utilize adult learning principles to design, create and develop learning solutions to meet learning objectives and accommodate a variety of learning styles in a trauma informed environment. They develop and deliver engaging learning solutions that produce the desired outcomes in responding to the learners needs, licensing regulations, state and federal requirements and entities to which TCC must maintain this will include hybrid and virtual learning through a variety of media (i.e. videos, PowerPoints, LMS Relias, demonstrations, etc.)

This position provides oversight and direction regarding training best practices to ensure alignment on policies, regulations and overall compliance. The position reports to Chief Human Resources Officer, as part of the Human Resources Department.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops and coordinates TCC training.
  • Utilize existing programs, tracking mechanisms to maintain on going training documentation.
  • Oversee and maintain Relias data entry and maintenance.
  • Recommend and assign LMS, Relias online training resources.
  • Coordinate and manage all new hire trainings in collaboration with leaders and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for coordinating all training across TCC.
  • Responsible for all new hire and refreshers classes to include CPR classes.
  • Administrative tracking of ALL certifications and renewals.
  • Coordinates all new QMAP classes and tracks certifications and renewals.
  • Plan, develops and implements trainings as needs and regulations require.
  • Coordinates with the Compliance department and HR to ensure dissemination and compliance of state and agency policies and or when disciplinary process include a training plan.
  • Adjust and build out trainings based on CDHS Volume 7 requirements amongst other licensing entities.

Other Job Functions

  • Hold a maintain caseload in accordance with training program.
  • Oversee development and continuous improvement of the training program.
  • Develop and support milieu and department specific trainings.
  • Coordinates external trainings as needed.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of campus trainings per regulations and internal needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. infrequently and perform physical activity related to TCI and other training modules as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Travel: May require occasional travel and transporting of children.
  • Environment: On-campus trauma informed environment.
  • Remote or on-site: 80-100% on-site work is required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four-year degree.
  • Four years of trauma informed care experience and/or combined training development and delivery in a place serving youth or mental health services.
  • Additional experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Professional certification to deliver TCI required and or willing to obtain.
  • Valid State of CO Driver License
