LEAD Pest Control Technician
Headquarters: Federal Way, WA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $30/hr - $32/hr DOE + Production + Commissions + Quarterly Bonuses
Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Pest Control Technician at Fikes, you will be an integral part of our mission to safeguard the well-being of our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead Responsibilities:
- Training and Coaching; Mentor and train current and new technicians, ensuring adherence to pest control protocols and company standards.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct frequent surveys of current technicians work to ensure Fikes standards are being met and client satisfaction is achieved.
- Inventory and Equipment; Assist in tracking inventory and working with department managers to order products, accordingly, also track the location of, and maintain pest control equipment, report if any parts need ordered, and perform maintenance as needed.
- Elevated Clients; Serve as the primary contact for elevated client requests, providing education and handling specialized service needs.
- Office Work: Some office work required, while also working in the field
- Sales; Comfortable with garnering leads and collaborating with other team members to acquire new business.
- Strategic Planning: Identify inefficiencies and contribute to developing new processes and solutions.
- Conduct thorough inspections of commercial and residential properties to identify pest-related issues.
- Developing and implementing effective pest management strategies tailored to each situation.
- Applying safe and appropriate treatment methods to eliminate pests while ensuring the safety of occupants and pets.
- Providing exceptional customer service by educating clients on prevention measures and post-treatment guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate records of service visits, treatments, and any recommendations.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to optimize pest control techniques and strategies.
Qualifications Highlight:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years in the pest control field; or combination of pest field work, sales, and management experience. Preference given to applicants with a combination of all 3.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
- Prior experience is a plus, but not required. We offer comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must pass Drug and Background Screens
