Endoscopy Center Tech Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleaning processes for scopes and storage areas to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
  • Assist in preparing procedure areas to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Provide assistance to licensed healthcare practitioners with patient care during endoscopy procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance of scopes and endoscopic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in infection control studies to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Either completion of a gastroenterology or endoscopy technician training program, or 1 year of related experience in a healthcare setting with completion of a Medical Assistant, Operating Room Tech, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
  • Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor with a 5-year registration through The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, or current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Surgical Technologist, or Medical Assistant through the State of Washington.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification.
