STORE Capital Advisors, LLC Portfolio Management team is seeking a Vice President, Portfolio Management to successfully lead a team of Portfolio Managers and Analysts, taking charge and active management of STORE’s existing $15 billion Net Lease portfolio.


How you will contribute to STORE’s mission:


This VP-Portfolio Management is responsible for analyzing and managing an assigned customer portfolio, reviewing tenant financials, understanding industry trends and assisting tenants with servicing request. The position is an active, hands-on portfolio and asset management role and the individual will be responsible for the investment performance and strategic direction of each assigned customer.


What will make you successful (Qualifications)


  • 5-7 years of experience working in a commercial real estate investment firm, with at least 5 years’ knowledge of corporate credit analysis. Prior workout and leasing experience required. Experience managing portfolios of commercial properties is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of managing small teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business, Finance, and or related area required.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and or curriculum preferred.
  • Experience with value-add investment strategies, including development, and re-positioning assets.
  • Proficiency with valuation modeling and financial underwriting.
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret sophisticated corporate financial concepts, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements
  • Ability to think critically, prepare financial analysis and determine the creditworthiness of a company as a tenant
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize and deliver quality work under pressure.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong initiative, and great independence in working in a fast-paced environment.


What most days will include (Primary Duties)


  • Oversee management and analysis of the financial health of STORE’s customers, conducting detailed portfolio review and preparing reports. Included in the analysis is a comparison of different industries, consideration of historic trends, and an understanding of financial metrics and regulatory/legal restrictions that may impact the portfolio.
  • Establish strong rapport with existing and potential new customers.
  • Recommend strategies for optimal recovery of Investments.
  • Identify and propose escalation of clients to Watchlist and recommend credit enhancement to improve STORE’s investments.
  • Prepare and present monthly portfolio reports to Executive Leadership Team, documenting the financial health, identifying potential issues, and resolution and anticipated recovery. Prepare other management reports as required.
  • Leverage Excel and credit analysis to produce presentation-quality reports and models.
  • Prepare and present credit memorandums regarding servicing requests from Tenants that may impact the credit quality of STORE’s portfolio (Assignments, Change of Control, Guarantor Substitutions, etc).
  • Work closely with Special Assets team on disposition strategy and asset resolutions.
  • Forge Collaborative environment between Credit Underwriting Team and Acquisitions
  • Lead, train, and develop team members ensuring department KPI goals are achieved and exceeded.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Manager.
