Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline and improve accounting processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Participate in special projects and assignments as required.
- Perform cost accounting functions, including job costing, analyzing production costs, and preparing cost reports.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting systems and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field.
- Up to 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be a resident of the Boston metro area or willing to relocate.
