POSITION SUMMARY

The position requires the temporary senior accountant to be highly motivated, detail oriented, effective at managing multiple tasks, possess strong problem-solving skills, effective time management, concise communication skills, and the ability to research and work through complex accounting matters.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

  • Sales revenue, cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, accounts payable, leases, investments, stock compensation
  • Support month and year end close process; included but not limited to: preparing workpapers, analysis, account reconciliations, journal entries
  • Other areas to assist with:
    • SEC work paper and deliverables (10Qs/10K)
    • internal or external reporting/ad-hoc requests
    • audit requests as needed
    • internal SOX compliance, external, 401K, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related
  • 3 – 5 years of experience public accounting or private accounting
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Highly detail oriented and organized
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Effective at multi-tasking and meeting constant stream of deadlines
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with external and internal peers
