Alabama Professional Services, Inc. is looking for an upbeat professional to work in our Irondale office location. The Accounts Receivable Clerk supports our production and clerical teams with accounting and billing processes.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare, verify, and post vendor invoices and subcontractor pay applications daily
  • Request and obtain valid W-9s for new vendors and vendor remits
  • Review subcontractor pay application information
  • Maintain accurate accounting file system
  • Prepare and process checks 
  • File and scan accounting documents
  • Additional miscellaneous duties to support other financial needs may be assigned


Qualifications:


  • At least 1-2 years of experience in AP or AR preferred, but not required
  • High School Diploma or Associates degree is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); working knowledge of relevant software
  • Construction accounting experience is a plus
  • Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines
  • Ability to bring a proactive approach to process improvement
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written
  • Proven success working in a collaborative team environment
  • Self-motivated
  • Must be detail oriented and have a great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
