Company Description

We have been serving Northern California for nearly 50 years and is conveniently located in East Sacramento. They provide a wide variety of traffic safety products for purchase or rental as well as services geared towards safe/compliant work zones and personal safety. We serve local businesses and municipalities throughout the Sacramento Area, Central Valley, Bay Area, and beyond.

This is a full-time outside sales role and requires travel throughout northern California. The ideal outside sales representative will sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clients. Competitive compensation with Salary + Commission.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Order processing, quoting, customer follow-up.

  • Building and maintaining a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.

  • Communicate with customers to identify and understand product or service requirements; identifying needs and suggesting products or services to meet those needs.

  • Demonstrating and training the customer on function and utility of product offerings.

  • Maintain detailed reports of sales activities. including calls, orders, sales, lost business and and customer or vendor relationship problems.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field - or - 5 Years of related sales experience in the traffic safety industry.

  • Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies

  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills

  • Professional phone etiquette and communication

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals

  • Strong communication with inside support team
