This role is responsible for accurately processing and recording invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments to our vendors and suppliers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Organizes & processes invoices, expense reports and requests for payment.
  • Verifies validity and accuracy of vendor invoices.
  • Ensures all invoices are properly coded, categorized and approved.
  • Matches purchase orders to vendor billings.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assists in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Responsible for month end reconciliation of A/P.
  • Sets up new vendors and handles vendor maintenance.
  • Prepares vendor payment forecasts.
  • Balances intercompany transactions.
  • Processes electronic payments and manual check runs.
  • Prepares sales/use tax return.
  • Creates annual IRS 1099-MISC reports and forms.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands on knowledge of Global Shop Solutions, SAP or similar ERP software beneficial.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Normal office demands.
  • Must be able to read, write, hear, and speak the English language sufficiently and comprehensibly enough to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Typically works on a computer for 8+ hours/day.
  • Routinely communicates face-to-face, via telephone and by computer.
  • Must be able to bend, reach and lift 10lbs to shoulder height.
