The Sarasota Ballet is looking for an exceptionally detail oriented and self-motivated individual to join our administrative team as a HR/Finance Administrator.

The HR/Finance Administrator is responsible for providing support to the Finance/Office Manager and Executive Director (as needed). This position supports the overall needs of the Finance department by providing efficient and accurate data entry and clerical support for accounting and executives daily operations as well as additional assigned projects. This position is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, except payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Process all new employee background and driver’s license checks as required.
  • Develop, maintain and implement Employee Handbooks and HR policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State Wage & Labor Laws and Standards.
  • Administer employee health insurance plans and company 401k plan.
  • Assist Department Managers with HR related employee matters.
  • Organize and maintain all personnel files.
  • Record all income, expenses and bank deposits.
  • Monthly reconciliation of company card accounts.
  • Ensuring data is entered in a timely manner completely and accurately.
  • Organize and maintain accounting files.
  • Assist with annual audit.
  • Maintain and order office supplies.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by Finance/Office Manager.
  • Serves as backup to Finance/Office Manager.

Education & Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred; however comparable training, work experience and expertise will be considered
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience.
  • Minimum of five years of human resources experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to find and correct data mistakes.
  • Well organized with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment and dealing with high stress situations effectively.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience using QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude.

Hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
