The Territory Sales Manager generates revenue through a consultative sales process by identifying and acting on lead generation, qualification, and closing sales, while helping clients identify and solve problems. They build long-term partnerships that lead to mutual growth and success. This position’s primary duty is to secure sales goals. This role will work collaboratively with internal and external business partners to maximize sales workflows.

Essential Job Responsibilities

The essential job responsibilities consist of the following:

  1. Generate revenue by:
    1. Making daily in-person visits to potential and current dairy clients to establish and grow the Van Beek product lines at their operation.
  2. Engage distribution while teaching them how to introduce and sell our products to their customers. Develop relationships with distribution, while helping them in all stages of this process.
  3. Actively manage the pipeline by:
    1. Generate leads (adding new prospects)
    2. Qualification and discovery of specified leads (gap selling)
    3. Move the lead through the sales process to a close
    4. Service and grow the customer
  4. Become an expert on all products in the dairy and beef lines.
  5. Work industry events when assigned.
  6. Increase sales as determined by direct supervisor each quarter in the livestock (swine, dairy, beef) industry.
  7. Actively utilize the CRM daily to accurately track pipeline, activities, and distribution relations.
  8. Actively participate in team activities such as weekly meetings, goal setting, trainings, and communication platforms.

9. Other Duties

    1. Strive to always be a positive influence to the team.
    2. This position shall support its manager and shall ensure that all department members are cross trained on the position responsibilities.
    3. Willing to receive input and direction from all members of the Executive team.

Physical Demands

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to sit and use computer, handle paperwork, also to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools and/or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands. The employee is also, at times, exposed to fumes and or airborne particulates.
