We’re hiring for the future, and Nixon’s Marketing department is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team based out of our Brentwood, TN location. This opportunity will provide an in-depth understanding of marketing strategy execution and business aspects of Nixon Power Services. We’re looking for someone who will help in the coordination of all marketing and social media activities for the company. Our ideal candidate will work well across teams, is willing to learn and grow and exercises good judgement.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating & Managing Social Media Posts:
    1. Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across various social media platforms.
    2. Monitor social media channels and respond to audience interactions.
    3. Analyze social media metrics.
  • Creating New Hire Bios & Anniversary Posts:
    1. Write and design engaging bios for new hires.
    2. Create and manage celebratory posts for employee anniversaries.
  • Updating Brochures, Hand-outs, & Tradeshow Banners:
    1. Assist in the design and update of marketing collateral including brochures, hand-outs, and tradeshow banners.
    2. Ensure all materials are aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Creating Various Projects Utilizing Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign:
    1. Design visually appealing graphics for various marketing projects using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign.
    2. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure design consistency across all materials.
  • Managing Company Inventory on Website:
    1. Update and manage the inventory listings on the company website.
    2. Ensure product descriptions and images are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Creating & Managing Email Campaigns:
    1. Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to promote products, events, and company news.
    2. Monitor and report on email campaign performance, making data-driven improvements

What we’re looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or Graphic Design from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficient in Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
