Summary:

The Program Director establishes, implements, maintains, and monitors the overall operations and services of Southeastern Integrated Care’s Adult Residential Services. This position provides leadership and supervision to Team Leads (Program Managers) and other direct care staff to ensure compliance with standards consistent with the mission and policies of SEIC and state guidelines. Provides day-to-day oversight of residential services in accordance with clinical coverage policies including but not limited to NCAC 27G.5600A,

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operationalizes services in accordance with NC clinical coverage policies and CARF statutes
  • Manages daily census and confirmation of census per facility
  • Attends and participates in meetings and conferences as needed;
  • Coordinates with and provides support to Clinical Director and Quality/Compliance Departments to assure quality, productivity and efficiency driven services
  • Provides administrative support to Program Managers of each residential services
  • Supervises ancillary support services as needed, i.e., PSR, supportive employment, etc.
  • Effectively administers and oversees all Southeastern Integrated Care’s Behavioral Health Services in assigned residential areas, including both departmental and divisional, assuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, standards, and Agency Policy and Procedures;
  • Cultivates and maintains professional relationships for the interests of SEIC, with funding sources, local, state, and federal representatives, other community service agencies, and the community at large;
  • Participates in the Executive Committee and meetings;
  • Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with LOCUS; understand DSM V criteria and rationales for diagnosis;
  • Coordinates with landlords of residential services as needed to assure seamless support and services
  • Oversees and coordinates physical plant, maintenance ,security and food service needs as requested
  • Remains up to date on all necessary training and professional development requirements; and coordinates with training coordinator/HR on all staffing training and education needs
  • Manages recruiting, training, and performance management efforts alongside HR and Training Department
  • Assists in developing and maintaining operating and capital budgets, along with annual strategic plans for the system;
  • Assists in outreach efforts as needed to help foster growth and expansion of SEIC clinical services;
  • Monitors services to ensure quality and maximization of unit utilization for beneficiaries by staff;
  • Maintains data and or completes authorizations, PCPs, intakes, assessments, etc. by their due dates;
  • Maintains regular meetings with the service supervisors/program managers (Team Leads) to help provide support and address issues/concerns;
  • Oversee scheduling of staff and proper coverage;
  • Maintains on-call rotation schedule;
  • Provides fill-in as needed on service teams to provide support in the event of staff vacancy;
  • Oversees documents/records of all billable encounters into Southeastern Integrated Care’s EMR (electronic medical record) system within 24 hours. Any corrections will be entered within 24 hours of being notified;
  • Travels as needed to various offices, meetings, and conferences;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position oversees administratively Team Leads and or Program Managers of Adult Group Home and Apartment Residential Services

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with QP qualifications;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the area of Behavioral Health or Human Services;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a clinical setting;
  • A combination of experience and education may be acceptable.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to negotiate, problem solve, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient computer skills;
  • Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team;
  • Culturally competent;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Offices/Google Workspace applications.
