We are looking for a Communications professional in our Richmond, VA  office to own the brand story for the LifeSpire of Virginia family of communities. The position will oversee an integrated communications and public relations strategy, create branded digital content, and assist in writing, editing, and proofreading various communication pieces. This position will also supervise a Graphic Design Specialist.

Educational Requirements and Experience:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, English or similar field preferred
  • Three to five years' experience, preferably within a marketing or communications team environment
  • Computer proficiency; knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress, Adobe, etc.
  • Excellent short-form and long-form writing skills in a variety of voices and tones
  • Solid writing, grammar, editing and proofreading capabilities
  • Social fluency and a solid understanding of how to drive conversation and engagement across digital channels
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to travel in-state occasionally
