Primary Expectations

  • Receive and sort donations, clean and stock the store, operate cash register, and other duties as assigned in the thrift store.
  • Prepare and serve food in dining room and drive-thru, operate cash register, clean and stock merchandise, and other duties as assigned in the cafe.
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating and interacting with professionalism and courtesy in all interactions, including with customers, donors, and coworkers.

  • Must have and maintain a valid NC driver’s license.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Able to work up to 25 hours per week, including Saturdays.
  • Able to physically lift/move a variety of items using equipment and tools when needed, including some that weigh more than 50 lbs.
  • Able to physically stand during the work day.
  • Must have and maintain a valid NC driver’s license.
  • Some retail/food service industry experience preferred, with knowledge of how retail and food service operations typically occur (e.g., food safety, merchandising, etc.). Successful candidates will be asked to complete the appropriate Certified Food Protection course/exam.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
