Leveraging its global experience in generating positive social and environmental outcomes, Terra Global manages a portfolio of sustainable landscape projects in collaboration with governments, NGOs, and communities. These projects are financed through climate finance. With direct project experience in over 30 countries, Terra Global has designed and supported the implementation of REDD+ and other sustainable landscape programs.Position Description and OpportunityTerra Global Capital is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual interested in learning about the intersection of nature-based solutions, blended finance, net zero initiatives, and marketing/business development. This internship opportunity offers hands-on experience in a dynamic and rapidly evolving verified carbon market (VCM), allowing intern to contribute directly to meaningful projects while gaining valuable skills and insights.

Internship Objectives
  • Gain a high-level understanding of nature-based solutions, blended finance, and the verified carbon market.
  • Develop practical skills in marketing strategies, business development techniques, and client engagement for a small business.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, including content development, social media campaigns, and digital outreach efforts.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through market research, lead generation, and partnership development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Scope of Work and Project Deliverables
  • VCM happenings/news and research for T5: Conduct research for and support the presentation of verified carbon market (VCM) recaps at weekly/bi-weekly meetings.
  • Provide support for ongoing marketing campaigns: Assist in content idea creation, including weekly check-ins to review, update, and add to the marketing calendar. Conduct research, interviews, and reviews of draft marketing campaigns, with solo writing opportunities for marketing campaigns.
  • Collaboratively create a new marketing material for Terra Global: Review current marketing materials, provide input for gaps or updates in potential new pieces, and draft 1-2 new materials for review to potentially published on our website or be utilized in digital outreach.
  • Attend 3 VCM/NBS-related webinars: Sign up for, attend, and review any 3 verified carbon market or nature-based solutions webinars.
  • Document/file reviews, brand alignment: Collaborate with other teams by supporting the review and Terra Global brand alignment of Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Content Review for Website: Actively contribute to reviewing and updating content for pages of our website.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in 2nd-4th year of university, pursuing a degree in marketing, environmental studies, or related field.
  • Strong interest in environmental sustainability, marketing, and business development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to easily collaborate with a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
