Overview: We are seeking a Configuration Management Process Lead to oversee and guide the configuration management process within our organization. This role will ensure the implementation of best practices, standards, and policies related to Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Configuration Management Processes, CSDM, Discovery, CMDB structure, MID servers, and the ServiceNow platform.

Position: Contract to Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and govern the configuration management process, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to implement and manage configuration management policies and standards.
  • Provide guidance and support for end-to-end CMDB processes.
  • Develop and establish systematic processes to support Configuration Management.
  • Enhance the organization's expertise in Configuration Management methodologies and processes.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate the full lifecycle of configuration management in a high interoperability IT environment.
  • Empower CMDB stakeholders to effectively utilize and leverage the CMDB database and associated processes.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Process Improvement, or a related field, or equivalent job experience.
  • 8+ years of total experience, with at least 4 years in CMDB, CSDM, and Configuration Management within IT operations, managed services, or service delivery environments.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery.
  • Basic knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Strong technical competencies with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Discovery, CMDB structure, and MID servers.
