**This is a role for an experienced Swimming Pool Service Tech with 2+ years experience.**

Summary of Description:

The Pool Service Technician Trainer will be responsible for training and developing newly-hired Service Technicians and continuing the training of experienced Technicians. The Trainer will also service and maintain customer swimming pools. Our Service Technician Trainers are customer-facing and are expected to approach each job professionally to maintain our high standard of customer care.

Essential Functions:

  • Primary responsibility is to teach and train the company way to new technicians, including operational standards, cultural assimilation, core values, and business technologies used to do the job
  • The trainer will provide both onsite and classroom training, as well as proctor online exams and training programs.
  • A large responsibility is route coverage and perform duties of a Service Technician listed below, to maintain a route used for training
  • Support the service team with important department priorities
  • Perform the cleaning and water balance of swimming pools
  • Check all pool chemical levels and ensure proper pool chemistry at each pool
  • Add chlorine, acid, and other chemicals to correct the water balance
  • Visually inspect pool and advise any next steps to the client
  • Check pool equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Drive the company vehicle to customer’s location
  • Daily walk around and inspection of assigned company vehicle
  • Perform regular truck inspections and notify mechanic of any issue that arises in real-time
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and chemical stock inventory levels in the vehicle
  • Complete paperwork and reporting service requirements to management
  • Communicate to internal team, and with customers through email and messaging applications
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education, Licensure and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • 2-years pool service experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge and experience in the pool industry is preferred, but not required
  • Profciency in Microsoft Suite: Pool Brain knowlege preferred.
  • Familiarity with the different manufacturers/brands of equipment is preferred
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report
  • Must have valid driver’s license, 3 years verifiable driving history and clean driving record
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or other pool certification a plus

Environmental Conditions:

General Office Environment: Noise level in office environment is generally quiet.

Outdoor Service Environment: Position will be exposed to various work conditions, at a variety of client settings. Indoor conditions may have dust, heat, cold, noise, etc. Outdoor conditions may include

exposure to the outdoor elements, seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions, and hot conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Requirements:

If performing office duties, the Employee is required to sit, stand, hear, and use hands to operate all office equipment. The employee must also view computer monitors for long periods of time. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will occasionally be required to lift, generally no more than 25 pounds.

At client locations: While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend, kneel, reach with hands and arms, crouch, crawl, twist, push/pull, lift/carry regularly up to 50 lbs. throughout the day, lift/carry occasionally lift up to 100lbs., hand, eye, and foot coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus—the ability to swim as this position may work near swimming pools.
