Senior Mechanical Designer

Princeton, MN | Direct-Hire | $30 - $36/hour

The Mechanical Designer is responsible for crafting designs and technical documentation for mechanical devices and equipment. The ideal candidate should possess experience in industrial automated equipment, gear reduction, servo, and VFD drives, among others. This role requires the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Mechanical Designer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers to determine machinery requirements and automate processes
  • Travel to customer facilities to gain insights into manufacturing processes and concepts
  • Design and oversee complete machine assemblies while adhering to company design standards
  • Conduct design presentations with internal and customer teams to ensure all requirements are met
  • Monitor the progress of multiple equipment designs concurrently, ensuring consistency
  • Develop documentation for the machine build process

Mechanical Designer Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar software
  • Demonstrated high mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency in complex problem-solving
  • Desirable skills include AutoCAD, Macros, Visual Basic, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with machining and assembly processes
