Postion Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures to assist in the early detection of breast cancer and other breast abnormalities. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services and compassionate care to our patients.
Job Duties:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations on patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for mammography procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and addressing concerns to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
- Position patients correctly and safely for mammography scans, providing appropriate support and reassurance throughout the procedure.
- Operate mammography equipment and adjust parameters to capture high-quality images of breast tissue.
- Ensure proper compression techniques are applied during mammography scans to obtain optimal images while minimizing patient discomfort.
- Monitor patients during mammography procedures to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Evaluate mammography images for quality and completeness, ensuring all necessary anatomical structures are properly visualized.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images, discuss findings, and assist in patient care planning.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on mammography equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with mammography procedures and equipment.
Qualifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Florida State License (required)
- 1 Year of Experience (required)
