We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist 2 to join our team at the University of Miami UHealth System. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing complex procedures in Mammography, utilizing radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures.
- Supervise and perform diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of a radiologist.
- Assist with the education and training of new physicians and technologists.
- Participate in research initiatives and develop new protocols and imaging techniques.
- Act as a team leader and monitor charging of procedures and supplies.
- Provide in-service classes and training to staff.
- Obtain and examine orders for Mammography scans, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness.
- Verify patient identity and obtain necessary consents and education.
- Perform complex specialized tasks associated with Mammography scanners and related equipment.
- Adhere to Mammography protocols and maintain high-quality standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging program.
- Valid State of Florida License as a General Radiographer.
- ARRT registered with ARRT certification in Mammography.
- CPR and BLS certification.
- Three years of relevant experience required.
