We are currently seeking an Audit Remediation Consultant to join our team in Springfield, VA to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. This position is ON-SITE daily, and an Active TS Clearance (with ability to obtain SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence Polygraph) is required to be considered.

What you’ll do:

The Audit Remediation Consultant will serve as a key contributor to help our client navigate appropriate responses to external auditors. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your previous audit readiness experience and expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs) issued by the external auditor and developing recommendations and milestones for Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), based on the five financial statement assertions
  • Assessing data sets necessary to address the NFRs and CAPs
  • Applying your knowledge of asset management (acquisition, administration, disposal) to provide recommendations to the Government based on best practices and lessons learned
  • Interpreting DoD guidance related to property (PP&E, IUS, Real Property)
  • Developing or updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or process narratives and flowcharts
  • Engaging in both written and verbal communications with Government POCs, across all levels of the organization
  • Attend meetings and provide client support onsite/in person when required

Qualifications:

  • Active TS Clearance (with ability to obtain SCI eligibility and Counterintelligence Polygraph)
  • 8 or more years of total experience.
  • 6 or more years of specialized experience in Department of Defense (DoD) or the IC.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent work experience. Academic degrees may be substituted for years of experience, and years of experience may be substituted for academic degrees based on the following:
    1. 2 years of school = 1 year of experience.
    2. 2 years of experience = 1 year of school.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skill
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
