Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Lead:

  • Leads, manages, and supports the maintenance work orders and daily repairs for multiple locations and ensures repairs are completed in a timely manner and with sense of urgency.
  • Helps to select vendors and contractors.
  • Manages, supervises, and oversees vendors and contractors.
  • Responds to emergency work orders, repairs, phone calls and emails.
  • Responsible for operation of the Recycle room, and Hazardous waste removal.
  • Maintain a superior level of housekeeping in the production areas and in the plant common areas such as offices, restrooms, and hallways.

Qualifications of the Facilities Maintenance Lead:

  • High school diploma and minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a maintenance or repair role.
  • Knowledgeable in the function and preventive maintenance of all building systems: including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Able to operate common hand tools, power tools, and yard equipment.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and dependable.
  • Must have mature work habits and good communication skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate production schedules and equipment downtime.
  • Must have valid Michigan driver license and safe driving record.
