The Engineering Program Manager will report to the Director of Engineering and support APQP, Design, Development, and Launch activities. This role also involves supporting special projects, purchasing activities related to engineering, and manufacturing engineering requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and track outsourcing activities for tooling, fixtures, quality gauges, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Create, submit, and track engineering purchase orders.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions.
  • Develop and maintain APQP forms, processes, and work instructions.
  • Manage order entry for new projects, including sample orders, shop orders, and outsourcing purchase orders.
  • Develop, track, manage, and post department metrics.
  • Schedule facilities maintenance contractors.
  • Develop job work instructions for operations.
  • Support quote processes, including reviewing quote packages for accuracy and thoroughness, obtaining supplier quotes, building lines in Sunset, and ensuring on-time delivery of quotes.
  • Manage sample submissions with Application Engineers and customers.
  • Identify, manage, and, if necessary, dispose of tool inventory locations.
  • Support special projects.
  • Support cost reduction projects.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in computer application software (training will be provided if needed).
  • Highly organized and able to manage changing priorities.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
