FUNCTIONAL AREA R&B Plastics Machinery, Assembly Floor, Customer Sites

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Steadily growing custom Plastics Machinery designer and manufacturer R&B Plastics Machinery seeks an experienced and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our team. The right candidate will have solid experience in electrical panel building, machine wiring along with general wiring practices. This motivated individual should desire to be part of a growing company with a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

· Build, install, repair, and adjust complex industrial electrical components for plastics machinery at our plant or customer facilities according to R&B quality standards.

· Ability to read and understand detailed electrical schematics in the building and repair of Extrusion and Blow Molding Equipment.

· Fully understand general wiring practices and be able to layout, build, and wire electrical panels with minimal supervision using safe electrical techniques, schematics and diagnostic tools.

· Provide technical support in troubleshooting electrical components and be able to make necessary repairs.

· The ability for occasional travel (up to 25-30%) to customer facilities for electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

· MUST strictly adhere to all company, customer, and governmental safety policies, practices, and regulations related to electricity and powered equipment.

· Perform other related duties as needed and assigned by supervisor or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Complete understanding of the fundamentals of electricity and a minimum of 3 years of electrical experience with machinery is required including panel building, machine wiring, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Maintains punctuality and is committed to being a valued part of a team.

Desired Skills & Attributes:

  • Knowledge or experience of the fundamentals of mechanical and hydraulic assembly in addition to the basics of programming is strongly beneficial.
  • Knowledge and experience with PLC programming highly desirable.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multi-task environment independently and also as part of a team.
  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization and represent R&B at customer facility in a professional manner.
  • Good decision making and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, desire to continually enhance their skill set, and take pride in a job well done.
