Position Overview

The Engineering Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of product development, including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), design, and launch initiatives. This role is critical in facilitating special projects and managing engineering-related purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Outsourcing Management: Oversee and monitor outsourcing tasks related to tooling, fixtures, quality measurement tools, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Purchase Order Management: Create, submit, and track engineering-related purchase orders efficiently.
  • Procedure Development: Establish and maintain comprehensive procedures and work instructions.
  • APQP Documentation: Develop and manage APQP forms, processes, and related documentation.
  • Project Order Management: Handle order entries for new initiatives, including sample orders and shop orders.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop, track, and report on departmental performance metrics.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and manage facilities maintenance contractors.
  • Operational Instructions: Create job work instructions for operational teams.
  • Quote Process Support: Assist in the quoting process by reviewing packages for accuracy, obtaining supplier quotes, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Sample Submission Management: Coordinate sample submissions with Application Engineers and clients.
  • Tool Inventory Management: Identify and manage tool inventory locations, including disposal when necessary.
  • Project Support: Provide assistance for special projects and cost reduction initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-up capabilities.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications (training available if required).
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight.
