Position Overview:

The Director of Service Sales is responsible for driving targeted recurring revenue growth from Avidex’s managed services portfolio. This role involves both direct sales to end customers and supporting Avidex Account Executives in pursuing, estimating, pricing, quoting, and closing service opportunities. The sales scope includes Service Level Agreements and Managed Services, such as remote monitoring and on-site support engagements.

The ideal candidate will be able to clearly articulate the value of differentiated service offerings to both business and technical users. In partnership with Avidex Sales and Service leadership, you will identify and address all relevant issues of assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. Additionally, you will establish and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in service sales in the Audiovisual (AV) or Information Technology (IT) environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in Audiovisual (AV) service sales, with strong knowledge of the LAER service sales methodology (Land, Adopt, Expand, Renew).
  • Proven track record of creating sales strategies to drive recurring revenue growth.
  • Experience working with Account Executives to drive service sales and large enterprise service opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, ticketing systems, and Excel.
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated, and driven individual with the ability to adapt management styles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze customer data to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust within the Avidex sales organization.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, time management, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Branch Sales Directors and Account Executives to identify accounts for driving recurring service revenue growth.
  • Meet with clients to understand their service needs, develop comprehensive service proposals, and close service sales opportunities.
  • Gather vendor and subcontractor quotes for extended warranties and service tech support for complex AV systems and remote locations.
  • Respond to client-initiated Service RFPs with Account Executives and strategize on closing business.
  • Review pricing and margin calculations for service quotations and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Provide monthly reporting to Sales and Service leadership.
  • Ensure all opportunities are tracked in Salesforce CRM.
  • Assist in creating templates and documents for the Internal Knowledge Base.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to respond to sales or client issues.
  • Provide training and develop supporting sales collateral and tools.
  • Partner with Account Executives to identify opportunities to maximize client potential.
  • Attend client service operations calls, meetings, and business reviews to discuss performance.
  • Act as an escalation point for key customer accounts.
