Job Description:

We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our life safety systems and ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing software and hardware requirements, conducting pricing exercises, supervising product launch activities, and generating voice of customer feedback for engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Definition:

- Develop and document detailed software and hardware requirements for life safety systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and quality assurance, to ensure requirements are understood and feasible.

- Maintain and update requirement documents as needed throughout the product lifecycle.

2. Pricing Analysis:

- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing strategies.

- Develop pricing models and conduct pricing exercises to ensure competitive positioning.

- Monitor and analyze market trends to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.

3. Product Launch:

- Plan and oversee product launch activities, ensuring timely and successful introductions to the market.

- Coordinate with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to develop launch plans and materials.

- Monitor launch progress and resolve any issues that arise during the process.

4. Voice of Customer (VoC) Feedback:

- Engage with customers to gather feedback on existing products and identify areas for improvement.

- Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups to capture customer insights.

- Translate customer feedback into actionable recommendations for the engineering team.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on product goals and objectives.

- Communicate product updates, changes, and timelines effectively across the organization.

- Present product plans and progress to senior management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field with some technical aptitude.

- 2+ years of experience in product management or a related role, preferably in the life safety or technology industry.

- Strong understanding of software and hardware development processes.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with product lifecycle management and agile development methodologies is a plus.
