Job Summary: The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the financial systems within the organization. This role involves ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and functionality of financial software and tools, supporting financial reporting and analysis, and collaborating with IT and finance teams to enhance financial systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of financial systems, ensuring their efficient operation and alignment with business needs.
  • Manage the integration of financial data across various platforms, ensuring accurate and timely data flow between systems.
  • Lead and coordinate system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, working closely with IT and finance teams to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Provide technical support and training to finance and accounting teams, helping them to effectively use financial systems and troubleshoot any issues. Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and generate financial reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all reports.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge continuity.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations, to align financial systems with organizational goals and support business objectives.
  • Ensure financial systems are compliant with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Lead financial systems projects, including implementations, migrations, and integrations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial systems management, financial analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Workday); experience with SQL, VBA, or similar tools is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose system issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data and systems.
  • Experience in managing projects, with the ability to lead system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Understanding of financial principles and accounting practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge to system management and improvements.
