Job Description

Your role will require you to run point on creating a kick-ass architecture leveraging the latest and greatest in cloud technology to power transformative, data-driven products. The team will be depending on you to align the right technology for the job and provide a blueprint for implementing any given technology successfully. You will need to balance the business requirements, performance needs, cost and implementation complexity when designing the solution that best needs the combined needs. 

Your role will be primarily focused on understanding the technical aspects of the solution, design and blueprinting, but this is NOT a hands-off role. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves and dive into code to help us solve complex problems to guide the team with templates, issue resolution and best practices. We need an individual that can think outside the box and innovate to solve technical challenges that do not have simple, out of the box solutions. 

Outside of architecting new frameworks, you will be responsible for helping the organization upskill for the upcoming needs in AI enabled applications. 

You will have the freedom to explore the latest technologies out there to not only improve your own skillset, but also help the organization as a whole improve. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Architecture Design: Create innovative and robust architectures leveraging the latest on prem and cloud technologies to power transformative, data-driven products. 

  • Technology Alignment: Align the right technology for the job and provide a blueprint for successful implementation, balancing business requirements, performance needs, cost, and implementation complexity. 

  • Hands-On Development: Ability to code to help solve complex problems, guide the team with templates, issue resolution, and best practices. 

  • Problem Solving and Innovation: Think outside the box to develop non-conventional solutions and innovate to solve technical challenges that do not have simple, out-of-the-box solutions. 

  • Technology Readiness: Help the organization with improving their data foundations for upcoming needs to enable AI and explore the latest technologies to improve organization's capabilities. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and drive buy-in for data-driven solutions. 

  • Documentation: Produce comprehensive documentation for all architectural designs and implementations. 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role. 

  • Strong experience with OnPrem and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). 

  • Proficiency in ETL processes and tools to deploy and drive data products. 

  • Experience with Snowflake and Databricks, or Spark frameworks. 

  • Expertise in Python and SQL for data processing and manipulation. 

  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and data privacy regulations. 

  • Experience in designing and implementing data architectures, including Lakehouse and Medallion concepts. 

  • Demonstrated ability to create scalable data ecosystems. 

  • Experience in gaining business buy-in and working with stakeholders. 

  • Proven track record of thinking outside the box to develop innovative solutions.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Snowflake Certification). 

  • Experience with additional programming languages and tools. 

  • Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks. 

  • Knowledge of Full stack development and frameworks. 

  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
