Medix Infusion is a technology-driven healthcare platform enhancing patient care and access to infusion therapies, specializing in disease management and infusion pharmacy services for chronic and acutely ill patients, especially in underserved communities. We offer personalized home and in-suite infusion therapies, ensuring convenience and comfort. Our expert team provides a comprehensive range of treatments, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectables, making each patient’s journey as smooth as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review information from electronic medical records (e.g., authorizations, benefit verifications, orders, notes) to prepare and submit clean claims.
- Resolve rejected electronic claims to ensure successful resubmission and prevent future rejections.
- Manually process claims that are not eligible for electronic submission.
- Conduct daily reviews and follow-ups on unbilled appointments and ready-to-bill queues.
- Collaborate closely with the Intake and Nursing departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Stay informed of new billing guidelines and implement necessary changes.
- Perform other tasks or special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, third-party payer regulations, and medical terminology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with ICD-10.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material with strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy guidelines and requirements.
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and exercise good judgment in complex situations, advising in accordance with laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be able to perform all the essential functions of the role with or without accommodations.
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, talk, and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, keyboarding, and reading. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
