Job Description
Urbanex is seeking a highly organized and proactive Billing Team Lead to join our Nashville team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections/billing and leadership, with the ability to effectively supervise staff members. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the collection and billing team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the billing and collections processes, including streamlining procedures and implementing best practices.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and take proactive measures to address overdue accounts.
- Prepare and present regular reports on billing and collections performance to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate the resolution of payment issues and promote customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate team schedules and workload distribution to ensure adequate coverage and timely response to customer inquiries.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and professionalism
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of billing/collections processes, including invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliation.
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving performance improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with billing software or ERP systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to enhance performance.
- Proficiency in customer service software and tools, with experience in CRM systems preferred.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to support team operations.
