Job Description


Urbanex is seeking a highly organized and proactive Billing Team Lead to join our Nashville team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections/billing and leadership, with the ability to effectively supervise staff members. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the collection and billing team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the billing and collections processes, including streamlining procedures and implementing best practices.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and take proactive measures to address overdue accounts.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on billing and collections performance to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate the resolution of payment issues and promote customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate team schedules and workload distribution to ensure adequate coverage and timely response to customer inquiries.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and professionalism

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of billing/collections processes, including invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliation.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with billing software or ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to enhance performance.
  • Proficiency in customer service software and tools, with experience in CRM systems preferred.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to support team operations.
