Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Company's overall supply chain, SIOP process, and logistics strategy supporting Production execution in order to maximize process efficiency, productivity and cost reduction in line with the Company’s policies, procedures and objectives.

Essential Duties:

  • In partnership with EHS, envision, lead and implement comprehensive safety programs for a hazardous materials warehouse environment (flammable, toxic, corrosive)
  • Develop, recommend and implement Supply Chain policies and procedures to facilitate the most economical and expeditious method of procuring and managing materials / inventory.
  • Develop and lead a best-in-class Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning Process (SIOP)
  • Lead all tactical and strategic procurement activities, while maintaining budgeted PPV ranges and delivering year-over-year gross profit improvement
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to facilitate production schedule attainment and on-time, in-full delivery
  • Manage and maintain SAP item master parameters to ensure efficient and reliable functionality of the MRP process related to the purchasing function

    • Safety stock and min/max inventory levels
  • Control finished good, raw material and purchased item inventories with accuracy
  • In partnership with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing, lead monthly disposition of quarantined inventory
  • Ensure review, revision, and validation of BOM’s and finished good workmanship standards
  • Envision and execute strategic improvements throughout Tedia supply chain activities to achieve on-time completion of strategic projects annually.
  • Produce and communicate periodic management reporting, including department performance dashboards, department project planning/progress/evaluation, and department budgeting
  • Ensure specificity in goals and personal accountability for results
  • Lead solution-oriented, efficient decision-making processes
  • Maintain employee retention and documented professional development plans for all supply chain employees
  • Ensure availability of process and procedure documentation for all supply chain areas and punctual completion of related training for all supply chain employees.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, Lead Buyer, Planner, and Production Coordinator, and is responsible for the performance management and hiring within this area.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Production and Operations Management, Purchasing, Engineering, Chemistry, Business Administration, Finance, or other related field
  • Technical purchasing experience
  • Thorough working knowledge of ERP and SIOP process

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Systems;
  • Project Management experience
  • SAP MRP experience

Work Environment /Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Some of the work will require exposure to loud noises or fumes in the plant facility.

The physical demands of this job require employee to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
