Position Summary

Izzio Artisan Bakery is looking for a dynamic, energetic Director of Food Service Sales to lead our sales efforts throughout the C-Store, Healthcare, and College and University segments. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Food Service Sales, the candidate will lead an acceleration of business performance across the market segments listed above by prospecting, developing, and managing new sales opportunities, solidifying customer partnerships, growing market share, and ensuring profitable and sustainable growth for Izzio Artisan Bakery. The Director of Food Service Sales will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the business including travel if needed, management of brokers, representing the Izzio Artisan Bakery at various food and trade shows, and submitting reports capturing activity and results.


Essential Functions

  • Consistently deliver agreed targets for case volume, net sales, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies and supporting tactics for C-Store, Healthcare, and College and University segments.
  • Communicate and align strategic business plans with Marketing, R&D, and Finance team members to maximize resources driving profitability and increased share.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and relationships with key customer targets which result in the achievement of increased revenue and profitability for Izzio Artisan Bakery.
  • Develop top-to-top relationships with customers, brokers, and distributors to create long-term value and new business opportunities.
  • Work alongside customer and distributor partners to develop sound sales execution plans that drive value and growth.
  • Provide category & industry trend information, including concepts that will help grow the business.
  • Provide "Day to Day" account management, including rapid turn-around & effective resolution on operational, logistical, and pricing issues.
  • Inject originality in daily work through research, personal knowledge and networking relationships through new ideas and solutions.
  • Ability to handle and delivery multiple projects simultaneously, while keeping the company’s long-term goals in mind when addressing short-term issues.
Requirements:

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • The successful candidate will be a “Hunter” first, with a strong farming ability.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Foodservice experience with a strong Rolodex and a proven track record of success, preferably in an Artisan Bakery setting.
  • Previous demonstrated success in achieving incremental product placement with operators and distributors resulting from specific initiatives.
  • Ability to survive, thrive in opportunistic and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and spoken communication and presentation skills needed
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Position requires extensive travel and the willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Compensation is based on level of experience, and other requirements of the position. The range provided serves only as a guideline and does not automatically qualify all candidates (internal or external) for the high end of the range.


Position Reports to: SVP, Foodservice Sales


$135,000 to $155,000, plus 2025 commission plan plus commission plan starting in 2025
