About the Role:

The Manager Enterprise Risk plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework that enables proactive risk identification and strategic decision-making. The Manager Enterprise Risk will collaborate with Sound’s internal department leaders to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management that supports Sound’s mission, goals, and compliance requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and maintaining a robust enterprise risk management framework that integrates risk management into all aspects of Sound’s activities and decision-making processes
  • Promoting a risk-aware culture across the organization, fostering an environment where risk identification and reporting are encouraged and valued by all colleagues
  • Leading the identification and assessment of risks across the organization, considering a wide range of areas including operations, finance, technology, compliance, reputation, and more
  • Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate identified risks, collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders to establish effective controls and action plans
  • Creating and distributing regular risk assessment reports to senior leadership, providing insights into emerging risks, risk trends, and the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborating with operational leaders to identify and address specific risks within their areas
  • Providing guidance and support in developing risk mitigation plans
  • Participating in professional development to stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that could impact the organization
  • Proactively recommending adjustments to the risk management strategy as needed
  • Collaborating with the Compliance team and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment between risk management and compliance efforts

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field, or the equivalent in education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, audit, or enterprise risk management
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance principles and practices
  • Knowledge of business management and fiscal practices
