Sr IT Developer

Location: Sioux Falls, SD ( Not remote)
Reports To: VP of IT

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Developer to join our dynamic IT team. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development efforts, designing solutions, and coordinating with team members to deliver projects on time and within scope. You should have a strong understanding of software architecture and development principles, along with excellent leadership and communication skills and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Architect and implement scalable and reliable software systems.
  • Conduct code reviews and establish process for continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into the development process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Document design decisions, processes, and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
  • Strong experience with web development frameworks (e.g., .NET).
  • Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of developers.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and principles.
