Animology, a premier pet care facility in Olympia, WA, is seeking a passionate Pet Wash Attendant to join our dedicated team. As a Pet Wash Attendant, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide top-notch customer service and grooming advice to your self-wash friends. You will have complete responsibility for maintaining the pristine appearance of the self-wash area, ensuring it remains free of pet hair, and dirt, and thoroughly sanitized at all times. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a strong desire for perfection in cleaning tasks. It requires someone who thrives on achieving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

You will be responsible for ensuring that each client is familiarized with the workings of our self-wash department. From teaching them to lather them up with gentle, pet-friendly shampoos to advice on how to meticulously dry their coats, your attention to detail and love for animals will shine through in every interaction. Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist each client in the self-wash area, demonstrating how to use all equipment effectively.
  • Provide personalized grooming advice to enhance the pet's spa experience and achieve the best results.
  • Thoroughly clean all surfaces, including floors, windows, and walls, to maintain a hygienic environment free from hair, dirt, and grime.
  • Aid in nail trims and safely transport pets to the groomers for additional services as needed.
  • Recommend products tailored to the specific needs of each client's pet to enhance their grooming routine.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both pets and clients.
  • Engage with clients in a friendly and relaxed manner to foster a welcoming atmosphere in the facility.
  • Assist in other areas of the store as needed, including stocking shelves and breaking down deliveries as time allows, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Pet Care: Familiarity with pet grooming techniques, products, and equipment is essential to provide effective guidance and assistance to clients during the self-wash process.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to greet clients warmly, provide grooming advice, and ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
