We are thrilled to introduce an opportunity for a new position as a Junior Pet Grooming Specialist at Animology. This role is designed for individuals eager to develop their skills in the pet grooming industry while collaborating with seasoned professionals who prioritize animal welfare.

Compensation:

$17 - $19.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Groom, wash, and trim the nails of 8-12 pets during each shift with precision and care, while strictly following safety protocols for both pets and staff
  • Keep the grooming area tidy and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are sanitized after each use
  • Observe pets for any signs of discomfort, health concerns, or behavioral changes during grooming and communicate these to senior staff
  • Deliver friendly and attentive service to pet owners, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have
  • Accurately document grooming services performed and any specific requests from pet owners
  • Assist with general duties in the grooming salon, including cleaning kennels, managing laundry, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining common areas
Qualifications:
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor as a service technician at all times
  • Dependable, diligent, and trustworthy
  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Comfortable around animals
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience with animals is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from senior staff
  • A genuine passion for animals, with a commitment to continuous learning during your tenure at Animology
  • Willingness to adhere to grooming standards and best practices set by Animology
  • Flexibility to work weekends and the capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day
