Social Media Coordinator
The Deseret News Social Media Coordinator works with the marketing team to develop strategies to grow social media platforms and extend reach of content, as well as developing and managing relationships with our best readers.
Duties may include:
Creating and implementing marketing campaigns
Monitoring analytics to identify trends and opportunities
Assisting with marketing campaign creation
Researching trends and providing competitive analysis
Creating assets in Adobe InDesign
You are the right fit if you have:
A Bachelor's degree in communications, business, marketing or graphic design; or are a senior progressing towards a degree in those fields and have completed an internship and have hands on social media marketing experience
Practical/professional experience (1-3 years) on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter and more
Running multiple social media accounts on multiple platforms excites you
A passion for news and online journalism
The ability to adapt to ever-changing practices to stay ahead in a competitive market
Strong data analysis and web analytics, and certified by Google Analytics
Graphic design, or video editing, experience with the Adobe suite, specifically InDesign
