Pathway Caring for Children is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Part-time Foster Parent Recruitment Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you will help build a network of caring foster parents within the counties served by Pathway in Northeast Ohio. Position: Foster Parent Recruitment Coordinator
Location: Northeast Ohio (Hybrid)
Type: Part-Time
About the Role:
As a Foster Parent Recruitment Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to find, and recruit dedicated foster parents. You will develop and implement recruitment strategies, engage with communities, and work closely with our marketing team to promote foster care opportunities. This hybrid position offers flexibility but does require occasional evening and weekend work, as well as travel within a 2-hour radius.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Recruitment of Foster Parents:
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment plans and processes to identify and engage potential foster parents.
- Community Engagement:
- Conduct speaking engagements and outreach activities in various communities to raise awareness about the need for foster and adoptive parents.
- Information Sessions:
- Arrange and facilitate informational sessions for prospective foster/adoptive parents, providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions.
- Attend Events and Expos:
- Represent Pathway at career fairs, expos, and Pathway-sponsored events to promote our mission and recruit potential foster and adoptive parents.
- Assist with Media Advertising:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department to create and deploy effective social media content and other marketing materials that highlight the importance of fostering and adoption.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Proven leadership abilities and a track record in community relationship development.
- Strong public speaking skills and experience in engaging diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using computers and social media for outreach and engagement.
- Ability to work effectively within diverse cultural settings.
- Availability to work out of our Cuyahoga and Stark County office locations when needed.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Automotive liability insurance and access to a safe, well-maintained vehicle.
