This opportunity will give you the chance to grow your career and contribute to engineering excellence for the high-tech markets of the future, including semiconductors, batteries, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and data centers.LOCATIONRio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124SCHEDULEOn-site: Monday – Friday (40 hours)COMPENSATION$70,000 - $80K salary ( additional $3,000 per month per diem if 60 miles from work location) POSITION OVERVIEW – Procurement Specialist/Buyer II The Procurement Specialist II is responsible for the preparation of bid documents, rf(x) and issuance or purchase orders and change orders. Under minimal supervision, will be responsible to develop key procurement documents to be included in the rf(x) and change order process. Will provide input on strategic procurement planning for various categories. The Buyer will develop, in accordance with the Procurement Manager’s direction, the procurement plan to meet project and business objectives. Will also be responsible for the assembly and administration of any purchasing and/or change order related documents to support the Procurement Manager or Director Procurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares purchasing documents and change order documents.
  • Reviews purchase requests for pertinent and accurate information, prepares and processes purchase orders for materials and equipment, and e-qualification of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintains proper documentation of the procurement processes such as purchase orders, work orders, and supplier agreements.
  • Complies with all applicable processes and procedures.
  • Subject matter expert for all procurement software
  • Assists with the prequalification process for all bidders.
  • Develops bidders list for approval, tracking, and administration.
  • Supports the vendor selection and notification process.
  • Supports the supplier qualification process.
  • Maintains project procurement status logs, vendor databases, and correspondence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Buying, Sourcing, etc.
  • Closeout experience desirable
  • Proficiency in Oracle and Excel
  • Forensics ability for project analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Exceptional organization and coordination skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.
  • Apics Certification preferred.
  • Experience working in Procurement in manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, high tech, or construction environments preferred.
  • Experience working on projects in a construction/tool install / project environment preferred
  • Project management experience is desirable
