Job DescriptionJob Description

The Sales Representative based in Kansas City, MO will play a vital role in driving the sales growth and market presence of our latest range of Natural Dog Treats within the retail sector. This individual will focus on fostering enduring customer connections with both buyers and retail proprietors to achieve set sales targets effectively.

Compensation:

$80,000 plus commission

Responsibilities:
  • Building and maintaining a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads to develop and nurture.
  • Prioritize and develop relationships with key Business Partners and Retailers. 
  • Collaborate and provide updates on Team conference calls with manufacturers, accounting, and marketing.
  • Develop sales cadence and follow-up for outreach as well as maintaining proper pipeline hygiene. 
  • Maintain detailed reports of all sales activities including outreach, meetings, proposals, contracts, close rates, and any client or vendor feedback, as necessary.
  • Communicate pipeline activity to the Brand Manager.
  • Providing monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Travel up to 75%.
  • Embodying the ResourceOne Global values, and representing those in the marketplace: Trusting, Entrepreneurial, Accountable, Motivated, Collaborative, Respectful, and Unrelenting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of professional sales experience in B2B retail. Pet or related industry is preferred. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • An initiative-taker with strong professional and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success in prospecting, managing, and building a pipeline while working through a sequence of communication and closing new business.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Creative thinker with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to schedule others.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
