Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to build, troubleshoot and repair ColdSnap appliances. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electromechanical assembly, following procedures, troubleshooting equipment issues, and utilizing computer skills to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electromechanical assembly and integration of components according to established procedures and specifications, with a focus on soldering techniques for both surface mount and through-hole components.
  • Follow standardized work instructions, diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of mechanical and electrical components, including motors, gears, and other mechanical parts commonly used in consumer products.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes of problems related to motors, gears, and electrical components, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform testing, calibration, and quality checks on electromechanical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with performance standards and specifications, paying particular attention to consumer product functionality and reliability.
  • Utilize computer skills to operate, program, and troubleshoot automated machinery, control systems, and test equipment, ensuring efficient and accurate production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including assembly procedures, test results, and equipment maintenance logs, to track progress and ensure traceability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements, optimize equipment performance, and enhance product quality and reliability, with a focus on enhancing consumer product functionality and user experience.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others, particularly when working with electrical systems, soldering equipment, and machinery.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electromechanical technology or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in electromechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuits.
  • Experience with soldering techniques, including surface mount and through-hole soldering.
  • Familiarity with motors, gears, and mechanical components used in consumer products.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in using computers and software applications for data entry, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and procedures.
