Position Overview: Nova Biomedical is seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to contribute to our Instrument Manufacturing operations. The role involves assembling various components and systems that are critical to our biomedical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test sub-assemblies of low to medium complexity based on engineering specifications.
- Utilize assembly documentation to guide the assembly of modules, chassis, mechanical assemblies, tubing assemblies, and packaging kits.
- Employ small hand tools, including soldering irons, wire crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, torque drivers, and wire strippers.
- Determine assembly methods and sequences when complete information is not available.
- Operate automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment as required.
- Mix epoxies and handle chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the assembly process.
- Conduct self-inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Identify defective materials and manage their disposition appropriately.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Support the training of less experienced assemblers.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement Processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Continuously develop job-related knowledge and skills as the role evolves.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of ESD practices.
- Familiarity with Inventory Control Principles.
- Ability to read and comprehend operational procedures and supporting documentation.
- Basic knowledge of crimping and soldering techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
Skills and Competencies:
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electromechanical Assembler.
