A Day in the Life

As a HVAC Technician, you'll provide essential daily support across multiple product families, focusing on HVAC. You'll work the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with optional weekend shifts. Your responsibilities include machine repair and maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis for downtime or performance issues, and collaboration within cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives. Your primary goal is to ensure smooth product processing while upholding quality, cost, and safety standards.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment.
  • Identifying and resolving failures, replacing defective components, and troubleshooting using various tools and resources.
  • Documenting maintenance and repair activities.
  • Utilizing a range of tools and equipment.
  • Potentially redesigning systems for incorporation into existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Estimating labor and equipment costs and preparing requisitions as needed.
Qualifications

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency  

Nice to Have

Additionally, the following skills and qualifications are desirable:

  • Technical training/certification - HVAC
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience with Motors, gearboxes, valves, vacuum systems
  • Tooling/Assembly Fixture troubleshooting
  • Strong Electromechanical Equipment troubleshooting
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills
  • Certified Reliability Leader Certification from Reliability Web / Uptime Elements
  • Able to lift up to 40lbs
  • Flexibility to work on different shift if necessary

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$65,200.00 - $97,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States.
