Description

As a procurement and purchasing manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's procurement and purchasing operations. This includes identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and purchasing, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and agreements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the replenishment of stock to meet operational demands.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Manage supplier/vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and recommend adjustments to procurement strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, including ethical sourcing and sustainability practices.
  • Forecast procurement needs and develop plans to meet demand while minimizing costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Proven experience working as a procurement and purchasing manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of procurement software and systems
  • Familiarity with sourcing and supplier management practices
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings through effective procurement strategies
